Egusi soup is a popular Nigerian soup made with ground melon seeds, spinach, and leafy vegetables and it can be ganished with different type of protein. Egusi Soup has been the favorite soup of some tribes in Nigeria an which is the best soup of some households. It's often served with fufu, Amala or eba, which are starchy side dishes. Egusi soup is a good source of protein and fiber. Egusi Soup is one of the special soup in Yoruba which most often package with pounded yam with bush-meat. People also makes it special in an occasion most especially the Yoruba people.
